windows media player 11

Hello, I am running vista business, windows media player 11.
When playing a video file that has the wrong codec, a red X would display on
the right ride of media player in which I could click on and it would take me
to the web to find the codec, I inadvertently must have clicked "donot
display this" and cannot get the information to display on the side of media
player...
any thoughts?

Click on the "Now Playing" pane text. A menu will drop down. Now click on
"Show List Pane". Voila. =)
