Windows Media Player 11

Can not Validate Media Player 11. I click on validate and nothing happens can
anyone help me, same happened with WMP10 now can not access any music on my
laptop.
 
For what it's worth, those are pretty stupid instructions. This isn't even
rocket science - the author of that article just clearly doesn't know what
they're doing.
