Windows Media Player 11 "Good or Bad"

Just install XP, on a new machine, and have gotten to windows media player,
is this program a cure all end all application ? for all media aka: playing,
..flac .ogg music files ???

No, it is not a panacea for all media problems.
If you have v10 installed, stick with that for the time being.
WMP11 was mainly written for Windows Vista, not XP.
Too many problems have been encountered at present.
There are many other media players available that will do
more and better than v11. Check below, they are free.
