Windows Media Player 10 Install

My install of WMP 10 failed. WMP 9 is no longer present. WMP 10 doesn't
show in Add/Remove Programs list. I've tried to reinstall WMP 10 several
times to no avail. I'm running Win XP SP2 if that matters. Is there a way
to "clear" the failed WMP 10 install so that I can re-install?

Go to Start > Run and in the Run box copy, then paste, the following:

"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\setup_wm.exe"

Then hit the Enter key to reinstall Windows Media Player.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, it didn't solve the problem. When I
ran setup as you described, I got a message that wmp 10 is installed and that
no updates are available. So, my computer thinks all is well, but every time
I try to use WMP for anything more advanced than playing an Audio CD, it
hangs (Not Responding error). For instance, if I try to Edit Playlist, it
hangs; if I try to Burn a CD, it hangs. Yesterday alone, I must have
generated 6 automatic error reports to Microsoft as I closed the program when
it was "Not Responding". I'd appreciate any further suggestions that you
might have.

Thanks againfor your help.
