Ok, I know this isn;t the right newsgroup, but I hate the web-based reader
and I'm too dumb today to figure out how to get the WMP newsgroup to open in
OE, so here goes. I'm trying to rip a cd with WMP 9 using the MP3 creation
pack for windows xp. I'm running XP pro on a Dell Optiplex GX100 700 MHz
Celeron 320MB Ram 64 meg GeForce 2 MX-400 SB Live Soundcard, all Windows and
driver updates, no viruses, spyware or Trojans.
As soon as I click copy music in the copy from cd section I get an
unknown error message C00D11CD. I've read some things about this error
message, but they all relate to playback of an audio file, and that does not
apply in this case. Any help anyone?

One of the first things to try when having WM player
problems is to reinstall DirectX. Start here.

You may have to go to that group - look in OE on the
msnews.microsoft.com server for
microsoft.public.windowsmedia.player

Note that there is *not*, as you might expect, a period between windows
and media
