Strange?

I am running XP Pro SP2, 700 MHz Celeron, 320 MB ram, SB Live, Geforce 2
mx400 64 MB. Dell optiplex gx100. This system also has and Intel 82810 dc100
integrated graphics chipset, which I usually don't use and have disabled in
device manager. I decided to get the Gateway 2000 crystalscan 1024 ni
monitor out of the closet and make use of my integrated graphics, which btw
I believe has 4 MB video memory and doesn't share anything else with the
system to my knowledge. Well this is where it gets weird...In the advanced
display properties it shows that my Intel graphics has 32 MB memory??? The
geforce works and reports correctly. and if I move windows media player or
real player onto this other monitor (haven't tried any other media players
yet) any movie files I try to play no matter the type will either not play
and return an error message in WMP saying that the player might not support
the file type or might not support the codec used to compress the file or if
they do play some "activemovie" window that I've never heard of or seen
before comes up with the movie playing in it? XP had driver version
6.13.1.3198 installed so I decided to try to update the drivers directly
from Intel and the latest version I could get from the was 6.13.1.3196. Same
issue with either driver. Not sure about the codecs...I've always used
mainly WMP and had it download them automatically and the only one I did
manually was divx. All movies work just fine on my main display. No
"activemovie" player or anything...any help anyone???????

I'm not even going to bother to read that until you learn what a 'paragraph'
is. When you have found out, you are welcome to post back using them.

yes normal wondows and everything else as far as I can tell works fine on
this monitor. Windows is using a generic monitor driver as I haven't been
able to find one specific for it. I used to use this vid card exclusively
before I got the Geforce and XP and never had this problem. Not sure if it's
Xp related or not as I haven't been able to find any real info about it.
