Windows Media Center Edition 2005

Hi;

I have the Windows Center Media Edition 2005 and my computer (Gateway)
also has the TV card installed. My setup was successful and I can view all
my channels provided by Time Warner Cable.

I can record TV Programs to the computer and copy them to DVD-R and
DVD-RW discs. The recorded discs will play on both my computers but will not
play on my Home DVD Players? All I get from Gateway is a "runaround" when
trying to determine why these discs will play on the computers but not on
the Home DVD Players. Any help would be appreciated. I even tool the discs
to Circuit City and asked the salesperson to try them on their demonstration
models and still no luck!

This is an ACCESS newsgroup. We help answer questions about creating
databases in Microsoft Access.

Wrong newsgroup.

This has nothing to do with MS Access,...but you need to "Finalize" the
disks before they will play in a Non-PC DVD Player. "Finalize" is the
actual name of the function you need to perform, I don't have WMCE so I
can't tell you where it is exactly, but it has to be there somewhere.

The same thing often applies to any Set-Top DVD Recorders, not just WMCE.

Phillip;

Sorry I addressed the wrong group. Thanks for your information. Does
anyone in this group know who/what group I should address my question to?

Possibly, "microsoft.public.windows.mediacenter".

It would be the "all purpose" group for MediaCenter. There are a couple
other related groups, but this is probably the best one to start with.
