Please tell us your ISP, or simply give us the bit after the @ in your email
address, then we might be able to help?
POP3 is not the correct server name.

Both your Hotmail account and your Yahoo account appear
to be the free kind. Windows Mail can't accommodate those.

Both Hotmail and Yahoo accounts can be upgraded to POP accounts
for $20 per year each, which will then allow those accounts to be used
in any email program.

The free Hotmail account will work in Windows Live Mail. It is an
easy upgrade for Windows Mail: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

POP3 is not a valid server name. Ask your email provider what it should be.

It is doubtful that your error message is identical.
Right-click on the error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without that error message.
