Windows Mail

Hi
I am having problems with windows mail, basically it will only send messages
if i close the email system down then reopen - this happens all the time,
once reopend the SEND/RECEIVE works fine and you can see the dialogue box
checking but if I create a new mail and press send it goes in the outbox
(with no counter on it) but will not send and when you click the send/receive
button again it doesnt do anything

Machine is on windows vista premium and also has office 2007 installed

Which antivirus are you running? Some of them are not compatible
with Windows Mail, and will cause assorted problems over time.

It sometimes helps to click on Tools, then Options, then Send. If there is
no
check mark in the box before Send messages immediately, click on this box,
then Apply. Click on OK.

The setting is already ticked but the button only works before I create a new
message then it stops working, if i go into the outbox and delete the email,
then the send/recieve button works again?

If I close the email down then reopen it then it works fine until I create
new mail again

Since you've eliminated the likely causes of this problem, your
remaining option is to upgrade to Windows Live Mail:
