Since upgrading from XP - Every time I close Windows Mail a screen appears
advising that "W.Mail Has Stopped Working" followed by another screen
advising that "WM is restarting". (which has to be cancelled) Clearly
something wrong with configuration but can anyone point me in direction to
rectify this annoyance?
Thanks ,rodpet

It is not possible to reinstall Windows Mail by itself. You
would have to back up everything and reinstall all of Vista,
a herculean task not lightly undertaken!

I recommend an 'upgrade' to WLMail only when the OP's
Windows Mail is badly broken (or corrupted). The effort
required to repair it is way out of line with the effort
involved with the switch to a newer (and arguable better)
Microsoft mail client. Windows Mail is no longer supported
by Microsoft, while WLMail is actively supported and being
improved.

And it is not like the mail client switch is irreversible. If it
turns out you don't like WLMail, merely uninstall it, and WM
is back just like before.

Although some may not consider WLMail as an 'upgrade',
Microsoft has designated it as the replacement for Windows Mail.
Also, the WLMail installer will seamlessly and automatically
import all of your WM accounts, settings, and emails, which is why
I recommend it without reservation to unsophisticated users.

Incidentally, I don't know where you are seeing the advertising,
because my WLMail does not have any. Perhaps you are referring
to Windows Live Hotmail - a different (web-based) email service.
