Windows Mail (Vista) Application not found

When i open Windows mail and click on the Contacts button, then click on the
email address I require.. I get
"mailto:[email protected]"
"Application not Found..."

I use an imported address book from another PC running Outlook express...

Clicking "New Email" and adding contacts via the "To" 'form' works fine, and
sends and recieves fine...

Any Ideas.???

Thanks

Can you edit mailto: out of the address saved in the contacts list?
Is it even there?

The email addresses shown in the contact list are correct (No 'mailto')...

the contact list (address book file) that I am using still works perfectly
on my other computer on the network running Outlook Express under XP..

Just seems to be a problem with Windows Mail... or the configuration of
Vista on this new PC... (As installed by PC World!!)

NB. Addition to above post...

I'ts almost as if "Contacts" doesn't know that "Windows Mail" is the default
program...

I have checked to see that "Windows Mail" IS shown as the default Mail
handler...
