I have a brand new laptop with W.Vista ultimate version on which Windows
Mail doesn't work properly.
I've created my accounts, imported my address book.wab (850 entries) from my
last computer that ran W.XP Pro.
I have created subfolders in my incoming box and... that's all!
1/ It takes at least 30s before address list shows up after having clicked
on "To:" when creating a new message.
2/ After 3 or 4 successful times organizing by dragging messages from
incoming box to various subfolders, dragging becomes suddenly unavailable
and windows mail is no longer operational. Even after closing and
re-opening, no messages appear anymore anywhere and automatic suppressed
elements cleaning when closing won't operate and shows an error pop-up
window.
3/ When 3 not-read messages have come into a folder, the folder title (on
the left) is displayed bold with the mention (3). Until now, everything's
normal. When I select a message, this message becomes "not bold" anymore,
which is also normal but on the left, the title remains with the mention (3)
even if only 2 messages have not been read yet.
Same with Spam folder or Suppressed elements folder or any other. When full
(containing 25 messages i.e.), I empty it but the directory title remains
unchanged with block letters and displays continuously the mention (25)
until I close and re-open windows mail.
Can anybody help?
