Windows Mail Problem

My email was working fine. My service is through Time Warner Roadrunner in
Columbia SC. Lately, when trying to retrieve my mail from the sc.rr.com
account, a pop up comes up from Windows Security asking for my user name and
password. (this worked yesterday) I supply the information and check the
remember my credentials but I get this error message. Account:
'pop-server.sc.rr.com', Server: 'pop-server.sc.rr.com', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR invalid user name or password.', Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92 I know I
am using the right user name and password. I have two sc.rr.com mail
accounts. Do I need to sign into the primary account first and then the
second account? I am not computer literate so please be easy with me on the
answer. Thanks, Steve

Does it tell you which account it wants the name and password for?

Are you entering the username with no spaces and no CAPITAL LETTERS?
Have you tried it with the username both followed by the part of your email
starting with @ and without this part? Are you entering the password with
CAPITAL and lowercase letters in the correct places? Some email servers
are picky about details like these.

Are you home (connected to Roadrunner) when this happens?
Each account should have a different username & password. Use the correct
password for each account.

Something has corrupted that account. Try deleting it, restart
Windows Mail, then recreate that account.
If no improvement, your antivirus is probably the culprit.
Which antivirus are you using? As a test, uninstall it,
reboot, then try sending again. You may also have to recreate
the account after uninstalling the antivirus.
