Windows Mail Phishing Problem

N

Nadia

I posted a question regarding a problem I am having with one of my friends
sending me emails and her emails going into phishing. I have listed her
address in my safe senders and she is not listed in my block senders but
somehow only her emails go into phishing.

Someone answered my question but when I click on the link to get my answer,
a blank page comes up (it should take me straight to my question and the
answer). And I cannot find my question anywhere when I sign in to the
discussion group.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Go to Tools, Junk E-mail Options, Phishing, uncheck "Move phishing
e-mail to the Junk mail folder."
You can also turn the anti-phishing feature off altogether by
unchecking the other box on that screen.

Gary,

I just thought of something. I don't know if you misunderstood my question,
but I get other phishing alerts from other unwanted sources but only one of
my friend's emails to me goes into phishing. If I do what you told me, will
this eliminate all the other emails I don't want to get from going into
phishing?

Well, you can try a middle ground by only implementing my first suggestion.
You will still get phishing alerts but the message won't be moved to the
Junk E-mail folder.
I don't know why the fact that your friend is on your Safe Senders list
doesn't prevent her emails from being classified as "phishing".
Perhaps it's a design fault in Windows Mail. I've never had a friend's
email classified as 'phishing', so I have no way to experiment with this.

Hi Gary,

Thanks, I'll try that. And I don't understand why this is happening either.
I even have a check mark in the junk mail options to: (1) also trust
emails from my windows contact & (2) automatically add people I email to the
safe sender list.

Go figure !!!!!

Thanks again.
