I have an intermittent problem that my E-mail user name and Password
disappear from TOOLS,ACCOUNTS,SERVER TAB so I keep being asked to Log On.
Once i renter these details on the Server tab and check the box to remember
them I can then LOg On.
This will be okay for a while then they will disaapear again?

Windows Mail has a quirk that often makes it forget the password if
you click Apply in the same session that you put a checkmark in the
box before Remember password. Try entering the checkmark, not
clicking Apply, clicking OK, then opening the server tab again to
enter the username and password, then click Apply, then OK.

Chances are, this is being caused by a non-compatible antivirus program.
Which antivirus are you running?

Having more than one antivirus program installed at a time is known
to cause problems in Vista, and not just in Windows Mail. Most
versions of the McAfee antivirus program tend to cause problems
in Windows Mail, although seldom immediately, even when used
alone, so I recommend you pick it as the one to uninstall. You often
then need to run this cleanup program to take care of what the
uninstall leaves behind:

You may even need to remove your email account under Windows
Mail, then restart Windows Mail and add the account again.
