Windows Mail in Vista

Just recently everytime I open Widnows mail and try to create a new e-mail
it locks up and shuts down Windows Mail. I cannot create a new e-mail
anymore. I can receive and view mail it's when I create new mail it locks up
and shuts down. ANy hlep would be appreciated. Thanks,
