WINDOWS MAIL - import / outlook MAPI CLIENT ERROR

Anyone experience an error when trying to import your mesages database form
outlook. The following steps do not even get me to the browse screen to
select the file:
1) Edit; IMPORT; OUTLOOK

Error "Messages can not be imported from the MAPI client. An error has
occured"

What can I do to get around this? RIch Garrett (e-mail address removed)

The MAPI client is Outlook, so you need to install it before you can
use it in importing messages.
 
In order to transfer from a pst Outlook has to be setup and configured on
the same PC as Mail (or OE)
If you dont have access to the old Outlook PC, download Office2007 Trial,
connect OL to that pst, then in Mail Import
