Windows Mail IMAP account messages in Sent Folder dissappeared

Vista, Windows Mail v6.0.6000.16386 (vista rtm .061101-2205)

I have not done anything but all my messages in my "Sent Folder" that were
present until yesterday, have all dissappeared.

1) Why is this happening? Is there a method to prevent this from happening?

2) How can I retrieve those messages?

Make sure your Sent Items folder has its 'current view' set to "Show All Messages"
rather than "Hide Read Messages".

Hello Gary

Yes, it has already been set to "Show all Messages"

When I use another PC (XP) and view the same IMAP account sent folder, all
messages are displayed properly (including messages that dissappeared from
my IMAP sent folder on my Vista machine).

Gary,

In one of your responses a user that was having trouble with the cursor
moving while typing an email. You had suggested going to control panel and
enabling "palm Check" I went to control panel and "mouse" and could not find
Palm check. Can you tell me how to find it? I am having the same problem and
it is very frustrating. I use a mouse and do not use my touch pad, is there a
way to disable the touch pad in Vista Home Premium?

Thanks for your help

I don't know if it is possible to disable your touchpad. Different touchpad
drivers have different capabilities. For laptop-specific hardware questions
it is best to seek help in the users forum hosted by the manufacturer (Dell,
Sony, HP, etc.).
