I'm planning a wedding and all the emails I get related to the wedding I put
in a WEDDING folder, however when I try to look at he emails in that folder
they are ALL the same email??? The senders are different and subject are
different, but the content of the message is all the same. All my other
folders are fine, just this ONE really IMPORTANT one!!! Anyone have any
ideas?

Windows Mail often behaves erratically when interfered with by
some antivirus programs. Windows Mail is not compatible with
most McAfee and Norton security programs. Those will need to
be uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see
http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

So if I do that will the content mysteriously appear again??? Please say
yes. And if the email scanning option is turned off doesn't that leave me
wide open to viruses and more???

Obviously I can't promise anything, since there can be many different
causes for the problem you are seeing. But it won't hurt to try what I
suggested..

No. Did you not read the explanation at the URL I gave you?

Thanks, I did uninstall my Norton antivirus and installed AVG free addition
which I found on the link you gave me. I use that on a desk top computer and
have had no problems.
No, I hadn't read the other link you sent, it was late and .... no excuse.
I tend to not read those things because most of it I don't understand.
Anyway, I hope this solves my problem...so far I'm hating vista.

I tried to disable the email scan on AVG and wasn't able to, so I posted a
message there for help, they told me that I needed to remove norton with the
norton removal tool and provided me with a link (rather then through the
control panel, as I did)...I downloaded the tool and removed it that way and
I still have the same problem...they are claiming that no one else has had
that problem and they don't think it's AVG. any other thoughts? I realize
that there are two folders in windows mail that are losing the content of the
email I move there, all the others are fine, I'm afraid to move anything to
any of the folders that are fine in case that new email will screw up that
folder as well. I bought this laptop from Circuit City in May, I paid for
Norton to be installed, nice of them to sell me something that won't work
long term....hey, just like Bill Gates?!?!

The link I gave you was for Avast, not AVG. I don't recommend AVG
because there is a complication when installing it. When installing
AVG you must choose the Custom install method, which then gives
you an option NOT to install the email scanning module. So, if you
used a standard install of AVG, you will have to uninstall, and then
reinstall as recommended. Either that, or get Avast instead.
