Windows Mail Files

I have been pretty frustrated with Mail, having moved across with Outlook
Express, when my new laptop came with Vista. I found it worked for a few
minutes, and then stopped send/receiving after a few attempts. I note that
this appears to be a common problem in this discussion group. Your answers
seem to focus on the ISP, but this is not the problem. Can you advise what is
the problem?

I decided to move over to Outlook, and have exported all my old mail. This
programme works fine, but I now want to delete my old Mail files, which just
take up too much space. But unlike my old Windows, I now see that I can not
access the folders (Identities etc) to enable me to delete them. Can you
advise how I can do it?

See www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx and the section on Windows Mail. If you open
WinMail and go to Tools | Options | Advanced | Maintenance | Store folder
will tell you the root location of the message store.

If you say so, but since you provide no details as to any error messages,
there is no way to tell.

Can you advise what is
the problem?

Not unless you provide some meaningful details. We cannot see your screen.
