Windows Mail - contact groups

When creating an email in Outlook Express I clicked the 'To' button and then
could click on a drop down menu 'main identity's contacts' which gave me
contacts within groups.

I don't seem to be able to do this on Windows Mail. Is it possible?

Thanks

you have to scroll down the list to find the GROUPS.

You already posted this issue 4 hours earlier under a slightly

I purchased a new laptop with Vista installed. Using Microsoft Mail I am
unable to create Mail Groups. I've been told to click on the toolbar, then
"New Mail Group", but there is no such button to click on. Is there
something I'm missing?

In WinMail, Click on the Contacts button. This opens the Contacts folder.
If you don't see New Contact or New Contact Group on the toolbar, then
right-click on a blank area of the window below the toolbar, and select
Customize this Folder... change the template to Contacts
click OK

Thank you Dave! I do now have the "New Contact Group" button on my WinMail.
Very good.

Dave, Thank you from me too. I had tried everything until I found your advice

Thank You Dave!

I've been trying to figure this out tor months. You'd think Windows Help
would have at least included this simple step in their docs.

I wish I had come here to search for this answer an hour ago. LOL That
should have been such a simple task, but it was the folder view I didn't
have. Thanks a lot.

This does not solve my problem. I do not see anyway to adding new contact
group. My only work-around is to copy an existing contact group, paste,
rename, and then edit new group. Customizing this folder does not show option
for adding new contact button.
