Some of my Dell computers have been getting this message lately. I have
noticed it started about 1.5 to 2 weeks ago. I am running Win XP Pro SP2 on
all of these machines:
STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a
status of 0xc000005
The system has been shutdown.
Once I shut the computer down and restart it, this error doesn't come up for
quite a few hours but it eventually comes up again.
Nothing has changed on any of these systems and even when I have updated
them (via Windows Updater), the problem hasn't been solved. I have looked up
the documentation but it seems to be lacking for this error and the only
thing remotely spoken about is that the video drivers are corrupt.
I don't believe this since these computers have run the past three years
without incident so now I am asking if there was a mandatory windows update
that happened that may have corrupted the winlogin process.
Thanks for your time,
Kevin
