Can someone please help...

When I restart windows I get an unusually long load time. It will pass the
welcome screen ok and right before it goes to the user select screen it will
hang with a black then blue screen for awhile. I've run tune up utilities
2005 to clean and repair the registry and am still having the same problems.
I have AVG and its up to date. I also have Adaware and Spybot S&D. I have
run all the scans I can possibly think of. If someone else has had a similar
prob, please let me know how to fix it.

How much RAM memory? How large is your hard disk and how much free
space?

You could try Microsoft Bootvis - google for it.
Worked for me.

Thanks for the tip, however it says the download is no longer available. Let
me know if you know anywhere else to get the download.

Thanks,
Jason

I have your solution but it is a bit hard to solve it by correspondence. If
you like use my mail to add me to your messenger & I`ll walk you step by step
on what to do.
As a first step check the Background Intelligent Transfer Service &, see if
it is set to automatic start, at the services. Open its properties & see if
it is set to Automatic. If it is, then put it into Manuale & restart your PC.
