Windows Live Messenger Doesn't connects on Acer Win Vista Home Pr

Greetings RebootKidFL here

I have this customer with an Acer notebook and Windows Live Messenger
doesn't connects and gives an error message. Do I have to play with the
Windows Vista' Firewall settings or should I advice to install another
version of Windows Live Messenger or perhaps MSN Messenger 9.5???

Please Any Ideas.??? What's the problem? Is there some sort of
imcompatibility between Windows Live stuff and Win Vista???

All Windows Live applications should work in Vista. You have not porvided
much information but the latest build of Windows Live Messenger is 8.1 and
can be downloaded from here - http://getlive.com/
