windows live mail

I've just installed the new windows live messenger with windows live mail.
But it can't seem to send or recieve my e-mails. I dont' see the point of
having it if it isn't going to work

Did you set up Windows Live Mail to access your email account?

The group for Live Mail is...
microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

It never gave me the option. It just asked me to sign in so I did; and my
windows live messenger doesn't tell me when I recieve e-mails. But when live
mail tries to send or recieve this comes up :
The connection to the server has failed.

If you are trying to access your Live or Hotmail account, using deltasynch,
then all you need to do is enter your email address & password, and WLM will
do the rest of the setup.

It looks like you are trying to access the new POP3 server....
