Windows Live Mail

A while ago I bought a Laptop for my Wife for her to use for the Internet. I
bought a low spec machine - it did however have Vista on it. It has become
very obvious that it shouldn't have Vista on it (it has only 512mb RAM for a
start) and so I want to rebuild it back to XP. However, my Wife is using Live
Mail and has a lot of emails that she needs - so my question is can you back
up emails from Live Mail and then import them into Outlook/Express?

Try sourcing / updateing the memory first to 2gb, if your laptop supports
that.
Check also on Laptop site as to whether drivers are avilable for the
specific model & winxp, if they are not you may not be able to install winxp
& have a functioning system, you may also invalidate any warranty.

See what export options are available on Live Mail

Live mail can be installed on XP. The messages are stored as individual
messages (eml format) on the hard drive, so you can back them up and if
nothing else, drop them in the oe mail folder or just access them from the
backup source.
Go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail -
everything is there.
