Windows Live Mail Desktop

Tom

I installed Windows Live Mail Desktop and set it up for my hotmail account.
I get the following error when I sign in:

Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. This account does not
have permission to synchronize your mail. To sign up to gain permission to
synchronize with this account, please go to http://ideas.live.com and join
the notification list for this Windows Live Mail product. You will be
notified when your account is enabled. Server:
'http://oe.hotmail.com/cgi-bin/hmdata', Protocol: HTTPMail, Port: 80,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x80AA4192, Error Number: 0x80AA4192

I went to the ideas.live.com site and found no way to "join the notification
list".

Any help would be appreciated.

You are current a MSN Hotmail customer and you need to change to Windows
Live Mail in order to get HTTP Support (or be Hotmail Plus/MSN Premium
subscriber)

To do so, go to ideas.live.com and look out for Windows Live! Mail Beta and
join the beta test.
