Windows Live goes to Thai Language sign up page

I built a new computer and bought Vista Ultimate OEM version English
language, but live in Thailand so bought the OEM version here. Vista
installed with good success but when I try to click any of the Windows Live
links in the Welcome Center (also happens from Microsoft Vista site or any
other pointers to the Windows Live sites when clicking the Windows Live link)
it takes me to a Thai Language sign up page.

I need the English link but cannot find a way around the automatic Thai web
link.

Can anyone help me with some ideas of how to approach the problem? Thanks

Open Control Panel and click "Regional and language options"
Check all the settings on all tabs carefully.
You probably have the incorrect language set.

Jupiter,
Thanks for the suggestion. I have already been to the Control Panel
Language options and they are set to English, I have however added Thai
Keyboard for family to use but the Default is English. I also rechecked the
settings as a result of your suggestion and under the Administrative tab
found something called "Copy to Reserved Accounts" and performed that action
with no change in the results. Additionally I cleared all history and cache
items and retried the Live Link again with no change and still directed to
Thai site.

Interesting is the fact that only Windows live links react by taking me to a
Thai sign up page with that link going to Thai site from Windows Live,
Windows Live Messsenger or anything related to Live.

Thanks again for the help.

Temporarily change your region to US or some other English speaking
region.
See if that helps?

Thanks again Jupiter.

I have gotten an email from a querry to Microsoft and they inform me that
the problem is due to the fact that Windows Live uses IP address and directs
you to the country indicated in IP address of machine. I have asked for a
work around so I can get Windows Live set up and am waiting a reply now.

Thanks for the suggestion I had already tried that option.

Jupiter, Thank you one more time. I suspect you are right about no
work-around and that the Windows Live services are not even going to be
available here in Thailand.

One possible option is a proxy server set up of some kind but the fact is it
is illegal to set up proxy server here.

I did have the service available and working in the Beta version of Vista,
but now that I have a legitimate paid for version it is no longer available.
Nice feature and too bad for whatever reason that it is not provided.

Thank you for taking time and having an interest in helping.
