Windows keeps restarting

I restarted my PC after installing a windows update and it keeps restarting.
Any ideas on what may be wrong. I've booted to CD and clicked repair and did
a chkdsk /r. Still restarting. It asks to boot to last known good
configuration, safe mode or start windows normally. After selecting either
one, it reboots.
Thanks for any help

Hi

If you can't access Windows via any of those options, you can try a 'Repair'
install of XP - depending on which kind of XP CD you have. Please have a
look at the following article by Michael Stevens:

When booting, you should have an option to "Disable Automatic Restart...."
Select that option, then take down a note of what the blue screen error is
and repost the blue screen error.
