Hi folks.
I'm using Win2K-Pro on an IBM PC - Type 6579, Model NBU.
The PC boots up normally and all the programs work
normally.
The problem: 15 days ago, my PC unexpectedly rebooted
while it was sitting idle. (I normally leave it on 24/7,
and have done so with no problems for the last 2 years.)
Since then, it consistently reboots whenever the system is
not actively engaged (such as saving a file, moving a
file, zipping a file, etc) for more than perhaps 30-60
seconds.
Is this a virus? or a hardware problem? or a settings
problem?
I am posting from a public PC, because I can't keep my PC
up long enough to write, or read, a post. If anyone can
help, I'd be grateful.
TIA,
tina
