My Windows Installer keeps on getting corrupted. When
trying to install upgrades or applications Windows gives
me an error saying the Windows Installer Service cannot
be accessed. It tells me that Windows Installer is not
properly installed. I have tried to reinstall Windows, it
work for a couple of weeks, but then again Windows
Installer gets corrupted. I would appreciate any help.

i think OSX may be the only solution :)

Well it must be a windows installer kind of day. Had problem with outlook this am after importing another calender. So I thought the easiest thing would be to delete outlook and reinstall, but can not perform either task. The note state window installer not installed. Went to administrative tools and restarted it and nothing

first make sure your system is not contaminated with a
virus or spywares. spybot from safer-networking.org
update and scan on easy and a free anti virus is from
grisoft.com
 
have you gone to the update site and downloaded the current windows installer? i had the corrupt wi too until i did that quite a while ago. no probs since.
 
How do you do that? I have looked and searched and queried till I am blue
and have not found a download for MSI. I found a redistributable installer
(?) but when I tried to download it said I did not have correct OS. Please
enlighten me where I can get the download for MSI? I also saw it with other
pkg like IE 6 but then I dont want to re-install everything after IE6, which
I think I would need to do.
