Windows Installer

I recently had to re install Microsoft Word after installing a new
harddrive. Now a "Windows Installer Preparing to Install" message window
opens briefly when I open Microsoft Word, then it disappears. Word takes a
little bit longer to open up now. Is there anyway to prevent Windows
Installer from appearing.

Nope, did not work. "Windows Installer Preparing to Install" still flashes
up
