Windows installer.

I have installed Ulead Photo Express 4.0, succesfully I thought, but when I
try to open it I get a popup window "Windows Installer" and the message
"Preparing to install.." but then nothing happens. When I click on cancel
again nothing happens apart from the pointer changing to an hourglass. Task
manager shows a process Ipe40.exe running which
I then have to end.
I've searched for a possible solution but I'm not sure if the problem lies
in my OS or the Ulead software.

You have not provided details of any Error Reports. This may help to
pin point the problem more precisely.

Please check Event Viewer for Warning / Error Reports in the System and
Application logs for the time the error occurs and post copies.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Administrative Tools,
Event Viewer. When researching the meaning of the error, information
regarding Event ID, Source and Description are important.

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Double click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. This will paste the info from the Event Viewer Error Report
complete with links into the message. Make sure this is the first paste
after exiting from Event Viewer.

I've downloaded that but the Ulead programme isnt listed.

I get 2 error reports
"Detection of product '{21657574-BD54-48A2-9450-EB03B2C7FC29}', feature
'SoleFeature', component '{F9040172-2F4F-4457-A891-2F694C8AA299}' failed.
The resource 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\PXWMA.dll' does not exist."
"Detection of product '{21657574-BD54-48A2-9450-EB03B2C7FC29}', feature
'SoleFeature' failed during request for component
'{1340BFBD-2AED-417D-9214-85FE32729722}'"

Regarding pxwma.dll,it's a dll file used by Sonic Solutions.Reinstall
the Sonic application ;that will correct the issue.
