Windows Installer Problems

I'm afraid I have the same problem as a few others. I
failed to upgrade W2K to SP4, any attempt I made
terminated "abnormally", but now as a result I have the
Windows INstaller popping up whenever I want to open any
program on my desktop or otherwise. Anyhelp anyone can
give us would be greatly appreciated. Also, how can I
successfully upgrade to SP3 or 4? Currently we are only
running a SP1 and are unable to download the patch to the
current virus's and are therefore vulnerable each time we
logon.

Re-install SP1, get SP3 from

http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/servicepacks
/

and then either add SP4 or the patch. That dratted msi
