windows installer problem

Still having problems with windows installer popping up when I start my
computer. It was trying to install a program I have since uninstalled, and
now it wants to install my wordperfect program which I have. I click on
cancel on everything it is trying to do several times, and it finally goes
away. My computer is working just fine otherwise. Any suggestions? I would
appreciate it.

Thanks JS for your time. I think the solution that pertains to my problem is
the
installer cleanup utility. I have printed out the directions to do this, and
will in the near future. I am afraid of screwing it up more. I do have to
do something. I thank you for giving me some solutions.
