windows installer problem

Hi,

I now get this message everytime I want to install a new program : the
windows installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are
running Windows in safe mode (which is not the case) or if the Windows
Installer is not correctly installed.

I am not aware i did any change recently except that I used the computer
with the wireless connection for the first time. Is it related?

Can you help me?
