windows installer package

Hi all,

I have just tried to update office 2003 on win xp pro and I receive a
message that says that the installation package could not be opened. What do
I do? I have tried to download all installation packages from the MS update
site but to no avail. I cannot even run a clean install from my office CD.
What is this package and where do I get it from?

My system has never had this problem before
