Windows Installer Opens everytime I open a program or window ex My

Everytime my computer does something, a windows installer pops-up,
interupting it, and checks my empty 3 1/2 floppy drive, if I click cancel it
would cancel itself, but take a really long time to end. Examples of this
effect is when I log in, click on anything ranging from my computer, it pops
up. Whether I click cancel on it, only half the time the program or window I
want to open, opens. Or it just takes a minute or two, then opens the window.
If I were click on My Computer, the installer pops up, I try to open My
Computer again while it is trying to install what ever it is, and again 50/50
chance of opening, or just poping up another installation window.
I have reinstalled windows installer with the most recent version, and it
has done nothing.
I tried restoring my computer before this started to occur, and it did
nothing.

wow that must get really annoying. i had different porblems but what i did
in the end was to repartition my pc it worked but it took a whole day and i
lost alot of my defaults.
