i was trying to upload my new internet game called ragnarok but after the
setup it always say windows installer may not be installed correctly or
somthing like that i have already changed virtual memory and now this some
one help me!

You need to provide more info. What is the exact error message verbatim,
that you get?

THE WINDOWS INSTALLER SERVICE COULD NOT BE ACCESSED.THIS
CAN OCCUR IF YOU ARE RUNNING WINDOWS IN SAFE MODE,OR IF
THE WINDOWS INSTALLER IS NOT CORRECTLY INSTALLED.

Try going to run, type:services.msc In msc scroll down to installer, double
click on it,in the new window, select auto start, then start the service, exit
msc.

have had the same problem for a while no and no one can help me, have tried
this as well and access is still denied on local computer error 5. Really
don't want to reformat.

Look in the System and the Application logs for Error and Warning
Reports and post copies here.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Administrative Tools,
Event Viewer. When researching the meaning of the error, information
regarding Event ID, Source and Description are important.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;enus;308427&Product=winxp

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Double click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message(email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. This will paste the info from the Event Viewer Error Report
complete with links into the message. Make sure this is the first paste
after exiting from Event Viewer.

Hope this helps.

Maybe i'm dense but in my XP-Pro there is no Admin Tools on the Start menu
that I can find. I am having the same problem with the Windows Installer
message not correctly installed.
I ran services.msc and the Win Installer was stopped so I started it and set
it to Auto start. I tried to install a program and still get the message it
is not installed correctly. I have D/L'd the new version KB893803 and
installed it. MSI.DLL is version 3.1.4000.2435. So should I have rebooted
the PC and tried to install some programs that use MSI.DLL?
TIA... George

I am very dense because I set the Control Panel to classic view and there was
Admin Tools. I unregistered and reregistered msiexec and started the Win
Installer and was able to install a program that was giving me the trouble.
