I've recently been having problems with Windows Installer (like pretty much
everyone else in the world). I've now discovered that Windows Installer
appears to have vanished from my system. When I go to Services in Computer
Management, Windows Installer is not even there anymore.

I've tried re-installing it, only to be told that there is not enough
storage or whatever. Which is rubbish, because there is.

Help?

Instead of reinstalling, have you tried repairing the system or use System
Restore to go back to an earlier point in time before you started
experiencing this problem?

Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories and right-click
on the Command Prompt and choose "Run as administrator".
Type in: SFC /SCANNOW and press your Enter key.

If that does not work, try repairing your system. Boot from your Windows
Vista DVD, select the System Repair Option > on the setup screen, select
'Repair Computer > Select your installation of Windows > select Startup
Repair option and follow instructions.
