Windows Installer Fatal Error

I am trying to install a third party program on a windows xp HE sp2. it
almost complets the installation then it rolls the installation back and
reports fatal error " Installation ended prematurely because of an
error"
Any ideas

Does it happen only on that programme or on others also?
What processor and Tech Specs do you have?
