windows installer during file search

Please help!
when I search for files or folders Windows installer pops
up and trys to install Office 2000 Pro. I click cancel
but it keeps starting over and over. This happens
evrytime I try a search.

This occurs because WIndows want to configure the newly installed software
to its environment.

To solve this problem, when the pop up comes up again,

Insert the Office 2000 CD and browse to the CD and allow to continue

Hi Gary,

This has to do with either your not installing the Office Assistant and/or
the Search Assistant being disabled. Run the edit on line 286, right hand
