Windows installer is coming up every time I open a Publisher 2003.
Sometimes Adobe installer comes up. Do you know a registry edit
or something else to do so I can fix this?

Hi Robert,

Windows Installer has probably sensed that a component of Adobe (product name?) is mising, and trying to repair it. See if repairing the concerned application helps.

I just completely reinstalled Windows about four days ago.
It is firing up the installer whenever I launch a program called
Homebase, which is made by a online bookselling company
called ABE (it's a book database).

What is is trying to install, Robert? Is the application name mentioned in the title bar of the installer dialog?

You may get the details from the event log as well.

Click Start, Run and type eventvwr.msc
Select the "Application" log
Look for the recent entries with the source column containing "MsiInstaller"
Double-click the entry for more details.
It may show the product name for which the installation/repair took place

In some cases, the application name may not be available, but the ProductCode will be available. You can then map the ProductCode with the actual product name using the steps listed in this article:
