Windows Installer Cleanup Utility error

I am trying to uninstall an older version of Itunes. From the
add/remove programs panel I select remove and get no response. I then
installed the windows installer cleanup utility.
It starts up OK, I get a pop-up with a list of programs that does
included the itunes version I am
trying to remove. When I select anything from the list and try to
remove it I get the following
run-time error #5 invalid function or procdure call. I get the
error running from the created shortcut or from running the msicuu.exe
directly. Anyone encountered this problem ?
