Windows Installer automatically starts when Computer is turned on

Running XP Home Edition, whenever I turn my computer on Windows
Installer automatically comes on by itself, says it is noe installing
????. Why is it doing this, and how can I make it stop?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
