Windows Installer after XP SP2

Installed SP2 and now get "The Windows Installer service could not be
accessed." error.
Somebody got a good fix for this?
Tried:
a.. msiexec.exe /unregister
a.. msiexec /regserver

among other things with no luck. Don't want to uninstall SP2 yet, but maybe
I'll have no choice.

Tried those already with no luck. Got anything specifically for XP SP2
probs?
