Windows install wizard will not find drivers

Windows installation wizard will not find drivers nor does it give me the
option to search internet for drivers? i have tried installing the drivers
from a specific file and that does not work either? I installed my Samsung pc
siute i got with a mobile phone last year and it accepted it and worked fine,
that was the last thing that installed ok! i have since tried to install 2
scanners mustel 1200+ and epsom 2400 neither will load the drivers, the
mobile phone software has stopped working, i have uninstalled it and
re-installed it several times to no avail! I no longer have the option to
search the internet for drivers etc! whats going on??

The Mustek scanner has long gone, i have no problem downloading the drivers!
it is when i come to install the hardware that the install wizard cannot find
them even when i place them in a specific folder and use the path to it?
The installation wizard does not give me the option to search the internet
for them either. It does not even find them on the installation disc that
comes with the scanners etc.
