Windows Instaler failed

Hi, my name is Linda. I need some help with trying to get my Windows Instaler
to work. I am new to doing troubleshooting on my computer so please bear
with me.
I've tried updating to Vs 3.1 redistributal but of course it doesn't work.
Do I need to reinstal Windows XP? If any one has a suggestion I would be
very happy.

Since you haven't told us what trouble you are having with the Windows
Installer, it's impossible to give you a specific answer. Here are

Sorry about that. The problem is that whenever I try to instal an
application it kicks into the debugger window. I just can't figure out why
the instals fail. I need to fix this so I can fix other problems I'm having
with the system. I will check the links you sent but I figured I should at
least clarify my last post.

I have a problem with Windows installer when I try to install photoshop Elements it tells me I Windows installer can not modify that file. confused
