Windows in Vista not keeping size.

Often I will resize a window but it will not hold once the window has been
closed and then reopened. I seem to remember someone had a fix for this. Any
suggestions?

Maybe the old trick of opening the window and getting it to where you
want it and then choosing File>Close will do it. I think that is what
worked in XP.

RiverDog,

if all else fails, you could use another solution that does much
more than you want and repositions and resizes windows
intelligently. Check http://winhlp.com/?q=node/98 for more
information.

I use the program, and its author is a fellow MVP. It's still in
beta, the current version is release candidate 3 and, as far as
I can tell, stable and good. I've been using it in XP and in
Vista.
