Hi

I was about to close my computer when it said that it could install the
updates and then turn off the computer so I clicked yes and it installed and
shutdown the computer. Then following day when I tried to start my computer I
only came to the
"The windows did not shut down properly" page with the options of starting
in Safe mode, last known good configuration and so on.

It does not matter what i choose it only reboots the computer and then back
to the same page. Then I tried to use the installation disc and recovery that
helped but only to the point that I can see the "big" Windos logo in the
screen and then it reboots again in an never ending loop.

Can someone get me some ideas how to get it back to normal?

I think it looks like I have to install it again. If so, then the question,
How do I save my e-mails and address book in Outlook, which files to save? Is
there a way I can move all the updates, SP's so I don't have to download
everything again.
Is it possible to somehow share the C:\ drive on my desktop so I can move
the files that I need to my laptop?

start up.

Hi

Tried that, did not work. however I found out something else. When I'm
booting and using the F8 key and I get a list of all my harddrives (all 7 of
them is listed.) and when I choose the one where I have the Windows
installation it boots fine.

It looks that Windows don't know from which hard drive to boot from. I also
noticed that the time and dates had changed as well and I had to correct it
several times but now it works fine.

So, the question is how do i get Windows to boot from the correct drive?

brgds
